While getting ready to do the next models of chevy found these tucked away in a small file of it's own. Can't remember the back story on the huge open ports whether or not there were special heads to go with them or what.

I always thought Creitz made them that way because it was easier, and the manifold was open plenum anyway. IIRC Creitz made the 2-4, the 3-2 and a blower manifold from this one basic pattern. The SBC blower manifold from Edelbrock, the B10, had the same "uni-port" design.

@alphabet soup , The 1975 Duffys reference with what appears to be an "artists rendering" is interesting. I have been around FE's quite a bit, and never heard of one from Duffys, but I suppose its possible.
heres an article from July 1975 SS/DI, saying that Dick Estevez and Skip Asay did the development, and shows Dick Estevez holding what, judging by the cobbled together water neck, is probably the prototype?? Also noteworthy is that the Paul Bedouin piece has a conventional FE thermostat housing/water neck, which is absent in the adapter Estevez is holding and the Duffy artists rendering.

Home made water heated manifold for my Riley 2 port. Had one with2x 97s, they stink. Got 2 new Carter/webers and made a new intake. Much better set up.

OK The big block Chevies and I'm in a quandary. I have only a few "different" big block chevies that I'm posting now.
However I have several shots of BBC in STOCK trim of lots of the hp variations like the last photo.

The question is do they belong here and do you guys want to see them?

Its funny, I have a pretty big hoard of intakes, 6x2 drag star and 2x4 for my olds, as well as the 4x2 I posted, 3 tunnel rams, bunch of later aftermarket SBC and mopar stuff, the ford stuff I posted earlier, but this is the one I look forward the most to running.

When I look through old mags, dual wcfb 283s are all over the place in hot rods, but you never see them in rods anymore.

The third photo down is Ralph Lipori's '67 Buick Skylark funny car, running a 430 Buick with one of the first 8-71 (granted it is the V8-71) blowers I'm aware of on any fuel engine.
His son John has restored the car.
