Well I took Friday off and thought I would ride up to the Corvette Expo. I thought better of it I realized I didn't have enough extra cash to shop the swap meet.

Ethan has been at hid Grand Parents since last Sunday. I got up went to the Gym and lifted a few weights (man I am getting old). After that I went with my wife and daughter and ran a few errands then we ate lunch than I came back and worked on the Corvette.

I thought I had the brakes buttoned up but I messed up the parking brake shoe. I will get all new parking brake stuff and replace them.

I WILL KEEP PECKING AWAY AT IT

 

Any of you guys that fool with these old corvettes like mine have a good source for the emergency brake parts?

 

Faxed the Show and Shine Application yesterday for BG, Sure hope we have roadster weather!
I think you and Ethan will like it! If it is typical BG may bring my '72 Formula Firebird this year or the '57 again, who knows.

Wow that's awesome. I really hope we get to take the Corvette. That is the plan.

Well I ordered all of the stuff to fix the emergency brakes today

 

Well I got all the stuff for my emergency brakes yesterday. hopefully I can find time to put it on tomorrow.
I worked this morning now I am leaving to go to my daughters basketball games and then back to work in the morning. hopefully tomorrow afternoon.

I am planning on going to Coker's cruise next Saturday they are planning on having a pretty good swap meet at this one down at the Pavilion.

 

Well I found out something yesterday that will be pretty wild. When we go to Bowling Green in June for our annual "Guy Trip" to the hot rod reunion the Hot Rod Powertour will be finishing up there on Friday.

That's in June it is 75 bucks to enter as a car show participant. that gets you 2 admissions for the whole event and 2 goodie bags.
We tent cam at the campground which is next door to the race track and we eat out some. and eat at camp some.
you are welcomed to come if you change your mind we leave on a Wednesday morning and come back on Sunday morning.

 

Enloe what are we eating at your camp site? Can non campers enter the camping area? I kind of remember you couldn't do that in the past.

We usually grill some Brats and maybe some burgers.
You have to show a pass if you drive into the campground but you can just walk in the back gate

 

Well I had hoped to get some stuff done on the Vette this weekend.

I worked some Saturday and Sunday at work this weekend.
Saturday after work I jumped on my old Shovelhead and headed out to where my daughter was playing basketball in a AAU tournament. It was late when I got home.

Sunday after I got off of work I met the wife and kids for Lunch then they went grocery shopping and I headed home.
Where we had bad weather there was a lot of dirt and rocks piled up on my concrete driveway.

I got my flat shovel and headed down the hill to clean that up.

When I got to the bottom of the hill I saw the neighbors who rent the trailer next to my place were home.
They had been dumping trash behind their shed and it had been blowing over on my place.
My wife picked up 3 contractor bags full when I came home Friday.

I went up there and explained that they needed to pick up their trash and explained that I wanted to be a good neighbor and wanted to get along with them.

But I didn't want there to be a next time for this to happen.
I was told that they would take care if it and it wouldn't happen again.

We shall see...

I can be persuasive when I have to be

 

When I did get out there to do a little on the car i was taking the broken wheel stud out and was using a punch and a 2 pound hammer. I hit the punch with a glancing blow and the hammer slid off and smashed my knuckle. Today it is swollen and hurts like HELL

 

Enloe, it could have been worse, you could have damaged your car. The knuckle will heal.

Man I haven't been on here in a while. Enloe good to see you're still plugging away on the vette. Bowling green will be here before you know, we're still working on some stuff to finish up before then. This year we'll be staying in pits with the dragster but we'll be sure to cruise through the camp ground and hang out with you guys. Oh and you're gunna hate me again this year...heading down either Sunday night or Monday morning.

Drag week last year took a toll on the truck, new trans, rear end of other small stuff this year. May or may not bring the truck down but will have the dragster out all weekend.
