what an awesome roadster. And FE powered, epic... And this feature a week after a FE powered A coupe wins the Yahoo cup... coincidence?

Even without the monster FE, this would be a great car... With it and the attention to detail throughout, it's just unreal.

Thanks for your usual great story telling and the wonderful photos of the 34 roadster. I sure hope Steve (TRJ) does a feature on this one. Keith is a very talented builder. As I recall, he built another black hiboy for a customer in his shop a few years back that was also a very traditional ride. I am a big fan of the model 40 roadsters.

I love that sweeping curve from the front as it rises up and around that blister and then flows down the length of the car along the frame. Best part of a 34 Ford IMO. And that is a beautiful car.

Beautiful ride! And with a FE!

  10. cool car, but it needs something. i don't know if it needs different rear tires [pie crusts?] a pinstripe? black top?
please do not confuse this as a knock on the car, it is bad ass and a quality build, just wanted to add my opinion to this discussion.

I disagree and think back to two quotes from a very smart woman:

Before you leave the house, look in the mirror and remove one accessory.”

    Less is always more.”

    Oh my God!

Only two things wrong with it,,

One it is not in my Garage

And two,, sorry Keith, I am not a fan of the slanted tail lights that follow the shape of the body.

If I could build a tenth as good.

Great car, just remove the front plate and move the rear one to the center.

Okay Ryan, it's official. I HATE YOUR GUTS! I had caught a glimpse of this car in the background on another post months ago, and had saved the pic for "drool inducement" as needed. Somehow I had missed your post of June 4th, so I had begun to sleep again. But nope, not now. You have totally fucked that distant memory up. Sleep? NOPE, NADA, DONE................ that car shall haunt me the remainder of my days............... thanks, you bastard!

  17. I remember seeing the video a while back, there is no doubt in my mind the car is hot rod! HRP

That thing embodies 'deceit'. Appearances belie intent. Watch your back.

Kreips. I wanna be there when it goes to back up that 200 MPH goal. Sadly, a video will have to suffice...

    ...hint, hint.

It never fails. You see a car and call it a shining example of Hot Rodding, then, a car like this rolls around the corner. People say this hobby is stagnant? No, the main players are still rolling them out.

    Great car. Great write up.

Such a fantastic roadster. It was such a joy to be able to look at it at A.S.S. during the roundup and now I can't wait to see it with it being all finished up.

are there disk brakes hidden under the drums. that is serious speed for stopping on drum brake.. Love the color and look of the car.
