"the desert express.1951 ford coe pick up"

Discussion in 'The Antiquated' started by iwanaflattie, Feb 21, 2012.

  1. That was the plan,I dont think I will make it tho,,thanks

  2. Probably a little too late with this "suggestion/criticism" but (based on your pictures in post #7) it sure doesn't look like you are cleaning the metal before you are welding. A grinder with a sanding disc is a good thing ... a contaminated weld is not a good thing.

  3. That was done with the stick welder,,,we supposedly used the rod that can be used in dirty metal....????
I do have to get it through my thick skull to clean the metal before any welding..
Thanks for the helpful insight I do need to start applying that method.

  4. man they are like hens teeth over here.

There is a blu 52 (in oz) that has a long back on it (covered ramp style). up front is the bed, then lounge area, entry door, shower and 28 roadster at the back. if only 40 big ones (40,000), would fall from the sky and land at my feet.:D

    ..
    .

  5. It's always happy hour somewhere!

  6. ..can you post a couple pics of the pickup you hauled the COE home with?

Almost had me pissing my pants on the communist who gave you one star comment. I know there was mor to that part.

  9. Hey why thank you.
Its a great thing that you have a tire/wheel guy around!
My Son Nikolaus loooooooves tires and wheels too,,,he loves to take them off his cars and play with them instead of the whole car...???

I have a very dark sense of humor but I try to get a smile out of people if I can...

In my experience, that equation looks more like this. Jack+pain killers+no sleep= temporary psychosis+arrest+lawyers fees.

  11. So your telling me that my ex-wife was doing Jack and painkillers?
    thats psychotic bitch

  12. RUST ENCAPSULATOR IN A CAN??
    Is there such a thing?
I need to stop some rust in my hood seams but I dont want to take it apart.

I thought you named it the Michael Jackson Special because it looks like it wants to fuck the smaller f-100's.

Anyway, it looks like it wants to fuck something.

Dont get me wrong though, I like your truck. I dont like homos that fuck kids.

  24. O.K. Here goes. - Everybody chime in! - I worked on these from the time you requested them until just a few minutes ago. - Lucky for you Seth, that it's too cold here and too late for me to be out working on my own stuff. - By the way, there's the right count of lug nuts behind those hub caps, too.

I like the WWW tires a lot. Great job.

But you should have 'shopped in 7 evenly spaced lug nuts just to keep everyone guessing.

    Bitchin project so far!!!
I use a product called rust converter from auto tech, most paint supply stores carry it, but if you dont follow the directions exactly, its worse than the rust that was there in the first place. also, throw every can of wd40 as far away from your project as you can. wd40 contains silicone, and ask any paint and body guy, thats not a good thing. If you need a lubricant, find one that specifically say NO SILICONE. If it doesnt say that, chances are its an ingredient. Bitchin project so far!!!

  30. wow THANKS BILL....you been spoiling me ALOT...
    Thanks for the clapping..everyone.
And yes I need to center the wheels but I cant move the axle because of the c notch. So my next move will be to move the fenders forward a few inches and shorten the running boards.
