Yer' one funny Mothra Fugger!... ... <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/TtvL9t74v80" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> ...
Looking good. You got the proportions right. You've been sandbagging on your progress. Good to see it's that far along.
Sandbaggin'...Get to work... Slackin'...Damn it's friggin' Death Valley! Back Off!...Guy's working his ass off, and trying to build a Hot Rod too. ...
Hey rocky that was some cool music...its a lot better than anything that MTV has been throwing at us since 2000. Well I took another crappy picture last nite. I couldnt wait. sorry .
I really been doing other "side projects" since getting this coe. I was working out the bugs on my f1 gmc 302 in law's kitchen floor repair grandparents porch tons of yard work helping buddy get his OT Nissan going teaching 3 year old son the right jack vs coke ratio. If I didn't sell my f1, this thing would be in the back burner still. 100+ degree weather? Rockys got my back. thanks dude.
Sandbagging means, keeping what you are doing hidden. I just figured we would see a build thread in the COE group, then Bam, Here it is with lots of work done. It's shaping up nice! Why would you want to ruin Jack by putting Coke in it?
When Im in the coe group I literally hear crickets for days,But I will post a link... When I start drinking I like to start slow,so a couple of mix drinks to start and then when im ready I start chuggin on the bottle and I end up trying to choke hookers and not remember nothing the next day.... BTW Have you had a shot of Jack in a 110 degree weather???
Yeah, when I go to Arizona, Jack on the rocks. Never see 110 degrees where I am. I agree about the COE group, hard to find a pulse there sometimes.
MANUAL TILT BED BRACKETS: Well I wanted to make a tilt bed. Mainly because when I was working on my f1 I had to take the fenders off every time I wanted to bleed the brakes or replace shocks, change tires etc... Its a pain.... Well I plan to make the cab tilt forward also for regular maintenance.etc. If I leave the bed stationary,I cant tilt the bed or the cab because the bed header panel hits the back of the cab. SOLUTION: Make the bed slide backwards about 10" and then lock it somehow to tilt it. I been looking at the sliding trailer hitch set up and I thought:"Why not" NOTE:This will only be a once a month deal just for maintenance,I don't plan to use the dump everyday. Tomorrow I will try to finish with the front bed sub frame mounts and wheels..I will use 2 jack wheels and a channel to keep the bed nice and straight while I back it up. Eet will be too many nice!
So how did you change the title of your thread? ... I'm impressed with your forward thinking. Maintenance always has to be considered. ...
So the bigger square tubing (NOT PICTURED) will be welded to the top of the frame rails on each side. There will be 2 holes on each tube,1 will be in the normal position with the header panel behind the cab and 2 will be slid "backwards" to clear the back of the cab. A removable pin will be need to take off and slide in position as needed and a lock ring trough the pin. (think of it as your hitch deal) The bed subframe mounts with the wheels will also have a pin with a lock ring. The wood floor will be a 1 piece floor that slides back to remove such pins. Jack on the rocks....why didnt I think of that?,,,,So you go to Arizona to thaw out? Rocky:That looks yummy all this Jack and coke talk made me buy the biggest bottle I could find...Cant wait to get home... To change the Title of my thread I just go to my first post hit EDIT then Hit "advanced" and there should be a "change title"space bar thingy..
Not an engineer dude but thanks...and remember Laziness is the mother of invention ...I just pick up ideas from this awesome site... How are you still awake?
Nah,...I went to Urgent Care a week ago after burnin' the shit out of my hand workin' on my Studee, and the medication I'm on won't let me sleep... ...
Dam someone call AA...Were infested with alcoholics....Kidding dude. Coe's are sweet when are you getting yours?
