Hot Rods T Touring built in 1963 and still running strong.

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by HOTRODPRIMER, Jul 25, 2015.

  1. I have wanted to post photo's of this car for a while and finally got the opportunity to get photo's of it today.

My friend and fellow V8 club member,John Foster built this car in 1963 at the age of 17 years old and is basically a rolling time capsule.

Imagine owning a car like this for 52 years. HRP

  11. He had some different wheels on the front when it was in Rod Action in 1977 but I believe it has always looked like it does today. HRP

Very crafty 17 year old ! Great story , nothing like an ol' car pal n his high school ride...... Time capsule for sure! I also love the mix of wheels, about age 10 had a poster I cherished of a 57 'bird w/ a blown hemi mill running skinny cragars front & polished slots in rear, reminds me of the late 70's & early 80's look. Those are some great cars. If I built that car when I was 17, I promise you, if it was still around today, it would've been rebuilt several times. I wasn't very responsible in high school. I bet he can tell stories for days.

  22. So immaculate. Thanks for posting more. Touring/phaetons are a fave' for me. That one is exceptional. More so ... being untouched. Fella' coulda' built it yesterday ... and I'd believe ya'. Got any more friends in the woodwork to shake out ?

  23. I didn't have the skills or the guidance to build a car from the ground up when I was 17,I opted for a 63 1/2 Falcon Sprint. HRP

To be honest, when I was 17, I was doing all I could to keep my Nova on the road.

  29. Danny: This is surely the same car. I just saw this thread for the first time but I took this pic in the late 70's, likely Columbus @ 78. Tim
