The photos were taken by Mark Kline,he was parked one car over with his 32 red roadster,we often try to make the runs to an from shows together, some times we have as many as 8 hotrods in a line running down the highway an is more fun then the shows. Here is another one of his shots of the same red, white an blue pretty gal, testing out Mark's rod. Its better then a 3D photo

Added a PCV to my old Y-v8,did it so I can move it around a little when I add the 4x2 log set up an run the tube to center cross overs of log. For now it's hook up to the 4bbl intake and seems to work . The old road draft tube just got cut and angled to fit the PCV. Should keep any oil leaks away.

  5. Dana, that will need to go to the carb base, as is will make those two cylinders run lean. JW

This PCV is temp tell I put the new 4x2 log on ,and then PCV hose will go to center cross over balance tube between logs, that will even out draw. But even now in 4bbl intake dose not show any lean on the back plugs,my guess is oil vaper makes up any def in mix. But I'm watching it,I don't have a plate for base of 4bbl carb with a hookup an nether dose carb so did it this way for now. Thanks

I got back to playing with my home made 4x2 intake. Finished up welding it ,after finely filling my tanks again. So time to test for leaks, made up some block offs from hose an plywood to seal up each part. Add some air psi from tire fill valve stuck in the hose. Then I sprayed them with soapy water an looked for bubbles, sure enough had some leaks to foam up. Marked them with a prick punch an rewelded,an reground welds to look kind of OK. Had to repet that 3 times before I got no bubbles anymore. So next is to take the two parts over to a buddys that has a two foot+ long beltsander and just make gasket places flat. Leaks at were the plywood seal was didn't matter, just payed no mind to those. 006.JPG 008.JPG 005 (1).JPG

For homemade 4x2 intake fun. Got things cleaned up an logs blasted, beltsanded ,plus painted.
So did assm. on old motor on enginestand,so it will be EZer to hook up when I change it to my hotrod, here's how its looking now as a completed set up with all the right bolts, clamp, springs I hope. This should mean I will not have to be running around to find stuff when getting in on the car,an cut back on my old back bending over so much. Did some extra details, polished all the clamps and screws, got some Stainless allins and cut the nerling off n added two groves for fun on the intake hold to head bolts, polished acorns hold carbs. 013.JPG 011.JPG 015.JPG

    Thanks,
After I get these 4x2's on my hotrod,I'm hoping that the custom aircleaner base's I handmade to hold those pots about 1 in. lower then normal on the carbs will show up as looking kind of cool low, vs sticking up more in to line of site.

12038585_10153591931359845_342475333379636812_o.jpg Went back to my old highschool for some reunion time, had parked my hotrod there last in 1963,but now there is a new classroom wing built on top of my parking spot. So had to park about 100ft. south of my old spot on were a road ran along the front of school and is now parking lot. Drove down the sidewalk too,as there is no road to run a long front of school now, still punk kid in me! 11029478_10153591934519845_4599624406993595888_o.jpg 12039392_10208078743595519_9015919922919669074_n.jpg
