  1. I think that's the same brand that I have three of.
I post up some pics tomorrow.

    Here's a pic for @37hotrod.
The 1/8 Linburg version of the big T.
    Well my version anyways.
Kick the chassis up, front and rear, dropped in a Pontiac 389 from the Monogram 32, and never got it finished. IMG_20170202_171745.jpg

These are basically toys. 1/32 scale, a handful of parts, translucent plastic, quick & simple to
knock out. I just added paint, plug wires, detailed the tires and hit my decal scrap envelope.
They're drag cars...I had to do these.

  9. 1/8 scale, bashed out from leftovers. I just tore it completely apart for a rebuild, I'll get back to you.
Took a hiatus of several years to concentrate on 1/1 cars and motorcycles, got the itch again.
It's not like riding a bike, I'm struggling to get "the touch" back.

Inspired by a Yamaha FJ1200 power Dauphine made by Adri's Custom. Base was an old Hubley model with a broken chassis and non working friction engine. Chassis was scratch bulid from plastic sheet.Rims are modified Scale Productions 15" Fuchs with 15" beauty ring.

I know that the 1/8 scale 1923 T roadster is available, but is anyone selling a 1927 T roadster body in 1/8 scale?

  12. 20140315_083308.jpg Tech question of the day: I have a resin cast 57 Caddy I bought off of ebay a few years ago and this thing is warped, twisted, and just overall a mess. It's a fairly thick casting but I have zero experience with resin kits so my question is how the hell do I fix it?! Is this typical of resin castings or should I just junkyard diorama this pos?

  17. Nice build on the model.
Man, I went to the site you provided - I like the car! Very cool build.
I could imagine a Harley motor in place of the Yamaha. Nice little runabout.

I was wondering if anyone new the color red the first A/FX Mustang was. Was it the Poppy Red or the Rangoon Red? I am building a 1/25 model for my local club and wanted to do the Dick Brannan car right after it was done. Thanks for your help. Sorry for some recent losses. We all wish we could spend an extra day with them.

[IMG][/QUOTE] My first car in 1965 was a Renault and it was a real hot rod too. It had a racing stripe and "STP" stickers . I have a unbuilt model packaged in a plastic bag and a 1/32 scale model somewhere.

  20. Not that I know of.
I look about for one around eight years ago, and the guys doing 1/8 scale resin were not doing any.
One guy took a 23 body, and rebuilt the cowl, and Roadster rear end, to make a 27 body.

Some clever dudes cast their own stuff out of resin.
    Look up Johnny Lightning.
A group I used to belong to, did a lot of 1/8 stuff.
These guys make real cool stuff, that the kit company's don't make.
The body's can be a little thick in places, but easy to rework.
I brought lots of stuff, and have some cool 1/8 engines.

Here is a replica of my 1962 Mercury S-55 convertible that I built from a recycled kit and other interior parts back in 1980. The old polaroid photos are from 1979. Please excuse the patina . 049.JPG 002.jpg 052.JPG 003.jpg

So much great stuff posted over the past couple weeks! Miky, your boats are beautiful and breathtaking in every respect!

Meanwhile I'm pushing my '58 Impala ala Larry Watson to the finish line. Shooting to have it done by Feb 25. The hard paint, exterior paint is done except for a little touchup and clear.

  25. { A STORY }When I was 8 or 9, I went home from school with my best friend. We are still the best of friends today. We rode our bikes to his house after school. His Mom met us at the door. She was crying big time. She said she had some very bad news. I thought did someone die or something? She went on to tell us, that she was cleaning the carpets. And that she put my friends bed mattress and heavy box springs against the wall. Than later she heard this crash. When she went to check it out. She found that the whole thing had fallen over. Now the { BAD! } It had fallen over on my friends big Deuce model. That had been setting on the floor. His Dad had helped him build it. It had all of the wiring, gas lines, and details, etc. She said she was afraid to even pick it back up off of the model. She did say, that she would buy him a new one. It wasn't much left. We gathered the remains up in a couple shoe boxes. Then he gave them it to me. It was way to bad to save. I used the Q.C. and mill in a 63 vette I had. I still have the Vette and parts. I need to dig it out, and restore it. A Vette with a Q.C. rear. ha. ha.{ That 58 is KILLER!} froghawk! 183.jpg

  26. R&R resin? The thing is a turd. Looked forward to getting mine and was a mess. I jumped the r and r guy about it at a model show and he said they are all like that. Real disappointment since 50s caddy's are hard to get.

The usual cure for warped resin parts is dunking them in warm water..but only for aircraft wings or warped fuselage halves.I am not sure it would work for a car body and it might be unwise to try for fear of ruining it.
