Hey everyone. Here's a link to Speedhunters and the article I did on the HAMB Drags. Take a moment and check it out if you don't mind. Hope everyone likes it! http://www.speedhunters.com/2015/08/hamb-drags-a-step-back-in-time/
That first pic is Shawn Petermans '56 ford Gasser. The car was originally raced by engine builder Hal Reed of Reed Speed and Sport in Cumming ga. It sat in a field for years before shawn rescued it and put her back on the track. Maybe Shawn will chime in with details on the car... Lots of history there
Great stuff Cory. I missed the first year but have been there every year since. To me, it is a great deal. I have looked forward the last three years to hanging out with a bunch from Chariton Iowa. But no matter, it is a real deal, fun weekend. As you said , if you are a hot rodder it should be on your bucket list. Thanks for sharing with us. Later, Dick
Yea I love this weekend that's for sure. It gets more and more fun every year because I keep meeting more and more people. The guys here on the HAMB are some of the coolest around.
