Last year a guy on the HAMB gave me an old set of headers, thanx Zeke32. I chopped 'em up. . . I now need to make them fit- I have a couple options 1490578319930.jpg 1490578329104.jpg 1490578336464.jpg 1490578345044.jpg had to see how the caps will look

Today was grinding and welding, finishing up the headers then onto the rad/grill shell/hood fit debacle. . .I think the rad shell has to go up another inch to get the hood where it wants to be 1491175485834.jpg 1491175492767.jpg

This thing looks great, truly something from nothing!
This being MASS and this never having been a car before, what are your plans to convince the DMV to give you a title? Just curious 'cos I've been thinking about this myself.

The boys in the tool room got a new drill press, 24" arm that the head slid on...
They set it up and between shifts were going to drill the flathead exhaust ports into my 3/16" x 3" x 20?" steel plates with a 1 7/8" drill.... [8] plates deep...they wanted to see what she could do...
It bound up the new drill.... had to leave it for the company rep to see just what happened.
They fixed it AND drilled my flanges...
    Those were the days...
... Also if you need real tight 90*s for exhaust, try stairwell handrail 90*s, they are stamped so the seam must be welded, easy weld, thick wall, tight turns ...

Ronnie- we can shoot over to Vinny Cassidy's and look for a tank if you want- he's usually got a few in the collection. Everything's lookin' good!

Go go go.....just hook up the front brakes for now....hang the column with coat hanger .... put a boat fuel tank in the front seat....oh wait, that's what I'm doing.

I'm not building another new car again for ROG .... sucks that others race the same cars over and over every year.

Ron if it helps and you don't come up with a tank, I have the tanksinc poly tank that came with my car. It has the mounting straps and all the doodads you would need to get you to the race.
More than welcome to use it ...

You have an early motor with a late intake, nothing wrong with that but you have to do one or the other.

1- get a fan mounted generator and run a single belt
    Or
2- get the 8ba fan and mount.

But you probably don't have a double groove crank pulley so ....

There happens to be a few different fan configurations thru out the years
