Wow! Over 10,000 posts on this thread! Still one of my favorites.

I pass this car quite often, never seems to move.

  14. Sad fate for a '55-'56 Ford convertible. Not bad workmanship, just ugly. A bad idea well executed.

I hada 4 door 65 Ford gave to me a few years back a Custom with a six cylinder. My brother had a 466 Ford engine he had built and I tried to give it to him to put the Lima in. It was light for a full size, had a 9 inch and the interior was decent, no rust in car SOLID. But NOOOOOOOO he wouldn't do it.So I told him, you could wrap this car around a pole and walk away. Next I tried to get him to build the 64 Marauder 4 dr hardtop (I showed in yesterdays sitting and rotting thread.) and Nooo he wouldn't bite.He keeps a chevette ready to roll tho.

Took this photo many, many years ago. Summer 1980 to be exact. Paid $100 for this old 57. It was a 235 six with a 3 speed OD. Had a push button radio and spinner hub caps. Still using parts from it. The car was located east of Canton ILL, out by Lake Canton.

My grandfather had a 4 door this same color combination with a 6, I know, nothing rare, I got to ride in it about 6 times before he traded for a 1964 Chevy II 4 door with4 cylinder
