Show your cool finned aluminum parts

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Max Gearhead, Sep 4, 2008.

  1. I'm really into finned aluminum engine/ trans/ rear end stuff, gauge panels, etc. and I'm sure I'm not the only one so who's got some cool stuff to post pics of? Rare, one off, uncommon, homemade, whatever. Show what ya got.

hey the thread was about fins, went through a lot of trouble to find the one with the script, how many guys with imports are going to machine their own stuff? this car is nowhere near your standard import anyway . just enjoy the thread and quit hating lots of good stuff on here. I don't trash anyones car who has put a lot of work into it.lets not derail the thread. it's a really hard to find 25 year old valve cover and the only one like it they ever did,

Custom finned top plate to match the valve covers. It was made by Just Steve specificly for Big Olds air cleaner. Earl Scheib painted it as a surprise when he did the car.

Steve also made a custom finned gauge pod and glove box door that I then had chromed when I chromed the original finned dash piece.
