    Thanks for the input
Going to go with off white, hope to spray it within the next week, firewall is very rough . Lot's of light pitting.

Check out the Chrysler white they used on the Magnum wagons, think they call it Vanala White, that is what I plan to paint mine. Bob

  10. Wimbledon White is very popular, I would investigate that shade if I were you.

I think a white wall looks really good, can only imagine a downside that it might be hard keep it clean after some higher miles on the car.

    thanks for all the suggestions...

I'll post progress on the firewall tomorrow. Still not in primer as I spent the day sanding bondo!

Here's Wimbledon white, I will post an off white Volvo color I have on the shelf I was considering. This is a little yellower

thinking that blue firewall is the old street rod choice, I wanted more of the hot rod era look. Besides white will mean that the firewall won't have to be perfect. :):p

  20. Mike: There is a thread on white firewalls, I believe it would give you the answer to the color pic. I know what you mean about starting with a nicer body. After unchanneling a '34 roadster and all the mods on the cabrio, I feel the same way. However, your 5 wndw, my cabrio and countless others would have been parted out and gone. Somebody had to do it!! At the same time, I'm finished with the cabrio, I'm really wanting a steel coupe so I will likely sell it this year. I've not had a coupe, this is my third open car so its time. Keep after it, your doing a great job. Tim

ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1434251843.262812.jpg the lower lip on the tank was not very straight
In order to keep bondo of the seam weld I taped the weld as shown

I understand what you mean. I'm glad I had the chance to learn what I did and save s car in the process

Unfortunately, time is really at a premium now , making it more difficult to finish the project
