<style></style>We just want to thank all the guys and gals that made it to the Elks show
at the Sanford Airport. Mike Smith "Smitty" was a great help in promoting
our portion of the "Sanford Reunion" and thanks to Jack Doyle and all the
great information he gave us about the days gone by. He informed us that
the original tower which we copied was burned in the forest fire in 57. He
also filled in a lot of blanks in Sanfords history. I hope to pick his
brain more in the future. Thanks to "Mudd" Sharigan for coming and
reminiscing. He informed us that he built the original tower. He said that
he used nails in his . Thanks to Gil Coraine for coming and bringing some
memorabilia with him and his beautiful 32 roadster. Thank you to the great
guy that donated the posters of Sanford., sorry I didn't catch the name.
The old Bannister dragster and push car really made the day. The guys from
Sanford that build the mini's supplied the sound system in their T-Bucket
so we could play the "Sounds of Sanford" all day. Paul O'Keefe brought his
period perfect, New England style 32 5 wnd. and a great collection of
pictures that I wish I could have spent more time viewing. Thanks to
everyone who attended and helped out. Hope to see you next year.
We raised a little money for the Dare program and Thanks to the Elks Cub
for letting us do our thing there.
The Chamber of Commerce was a great help and would like to see us there
again. With a little luck we can do it next year. We are already planning
on next year and hope to make it even bigger and better. I would like to
get other clubs involved so if anyone would like to help or has any ideas
    please let me know.
We had a lot of positive input about the event and no negative. The
great weather was a plus too so thank you Mother Nature.

Feel free to visit the Rod Barons web site at www.rodbarons.com for
some up coming pictures of the event.
