I shot with a Leica M8 digital using an early 50mm 'cron made in 1951. It's a bad ass combination that I'm not quite talented enough to take advantage of.

  14. There needs to be a book on this event. I so impressed. Ryan I bet loads of us would like a hard cover style magazine just about The Hot Rod Revolution.

I can't imagine a better way to show what the HAMB is all about. One helluva day!

x2 on Stutz idea on the book. It should be required reading.....

  17. Thank you for this show!

  18. A book would be sweet! Great coffee table conversation piece. Could really show what the Hamb is all about, Spread the gospel!

Wow! Ryan your attention to detail in organizing this Hot Rod show is unbelievable. Every car added to the show and exemplifies the ability that a "Good" Hot Rod or Custom car show can happen. We can only hope for a show here in SoCal like that or something pretty close, not holding my breath though. Congrats all the way around to you and everyone involved.

  20. Your black and white shots are spot on for the mood set by the surroundings which were perfect for the event. You and your team will be hard pressed to improve on this but I'm certain you will.
Has the Austin Power Plant been decommissioned or is it still on the grid - it seemed rather clean?
Heaps of great pictures have been posted as well, Thanks.

Oh contrare, Boss. You have a great eye for a great shot. Your pics have a genuine "back in the day" feel about them. Your composition started with your choice of venue. It's all about Vision, and you sir, have it in spades!

The Hot Revolution is this: Quality over Quantity. I'll take that over any big show, any day. I don't find myself going to the large "traditional" hot rod and custom shows anymore...

The Austin Revolution was fantastic, and I was honored to attend, and help a small bit once again.

    THANK YOU:

Joyo- for your hospitality at the Speed Shop
ElJefe- for your friendship and the Continental Club tour
Keith- for holding my daughters hand all the way through the airport... you rock, as always.
Ryan- Cause you care enough to do events like this. And for being a good friend.

Looked at the build pic's of this full size kids pedal car. Very Kool.... Nice front rims with floating disc's.... Awsome build. A kids dream becomes a reality... Even sprint car styling/influence with the head rest....

It was so awesome I can't even believe it.

I've been down on shows lately.....even the so called traditional shows have all become the same.... people showing up hours early to park their shitbox in a good spot, hoping that maybe some sorry ass pinup chick will pose on it..... all the while listening to a band that bought all their gear from rockabilly.com..... If they are lucky they will win a trophy made form a gear or piston rod of some sort, and they can load up on hair grease, or a sweet purse from the "vendors".....

To be honest, it grosses me out. These shows have become way more cheezy than the modern billet shows they are "rebeling" against....... Its all just kind of dumb.

I kind of think I just hate shows.

But, leave it to Ryan to blow my mind.

This show was all about the cars and the presentation. It was perfect!

    Thanks man!
