Just wanted to say farewell to a great man that I am proud and honored to have called friend.
The name Dick Pierson needs no introduction or explanation as he and brother Bob were the stuff legends are made of. Dick passed away peacefully at his home in California last Tuesday. This is a photo of Dick and myself celebrating the rebirth of the famous Coupes hot rod club that was started in Inglewood, CA in '48.
Godspeed my friend, you will be missed. Dick Pierson.jpg

  2. Godspeed to Mr. Pierson. May he rest in peace. So sad to see our hot-rodding heroes pass on.

Dick Pierson, one of the greats I always wanted to meet. Temple McFlathead told me stories about the Pierson Bros. Very innovative guys.
Look up the origin of their club, the 'Coupes'. They did that one at a time when only Roadsters could run at the dry lakes.

I was fortunate enough to meet both Bob and Dick at Bonneville in 95' when I was 17 (they were my idols along with their old coupe), and was fortunate enough to visit with Dick and talk hotrods for a little bit. He was super nice and took the time to chat and tell me a few stories. Truly one of the great ones.
    RIP
