Wow that was great. That wreck was amazing at the end. How a car could just be twisted into a pretzle in a second. Really an amazing movie of racing history Thanks
awesome footage but the Panedemonium all steel 392 HEMI powered Cuda that was drove by Bob Sullivan was raced in 65 Plymouth didnt start making the Cuda until 64 i think I could be wrong
Nothing will ever compare to the days of 16 car AA/FA shows. Those were the days that will live forever in my mind. San Gabriel is where I made my first pass down the 1/4 mile, and Irwindale and Lyons will still be among the best tracks ever. Thank God that Famoso still lives to carry on the tradition!!
Fuel Altereds Forever ! The only cars to travel a half mile to go the 1/4 and some even stayed in their own lanes ! WDIFL.com has some great shots .
Love that shot of Ohio George. saw that car recently at The Henry Ford. I remember when he raced, that car was just as clean as it is in the musuem. He had many speed secrets that people dont know til this day. One of the very few good things about getting old is I lived thru the golden age of drag racing. that era of gassers,FE dragsters , fuel altereds can never be replaced
Thank God that Famoso still lives to carry on the tradition!![/quote] Yes, THANK GOD!!!! OLY The cancer car lives Give to cancer research
I hope the pictures loaded this time. This is a few years ago when I did some work on Pure Hell at my home shop in Santa Rosa.
I would love to run across a thread with all video clips from back around 50's 60's era. That video was way to cool. Thanks for sharing!

I'm a vintage 1950...kind of old, kind of young...mornings I'm old, afternoons I'm young, then I get real old and go to bed at 9.... at heart, I'm still the 7 year old smartass that I was in 1957
