I have a basic question on using a rotisserie with a project. How do you determine if your body is solid enough to pick up and utilize a rotisserie? mines not shot, but there are some areas, and more so, it would be nice to get to the underside to fix it. VOH
If your body integrity is questionable. Run square tubing inside and weld it at all areas to prevent any body movement. If your frame is questionable. Make a frame jig on the floor.
I built a jig that mounted to the body mounts on a badly rusted t bird. Then braced it well inside. I make my braces bolt in as much as possible. separate braces in the door openings, bolted to the hinge pockets and striker area. I did the rockers and most of the floor with the body on the rotisserie, and the frame jig clamped to a steel table. Everything came out square and fits nice.[/ATTACH]
