that merc is what did me in .. was 4 when i first saw that car at leadeast and i was hooked . still have the pic i made my dad take of it . and many years later i went back to leadeast and there she was front row .. love that merc.

Some say mine is east coast others just say its a ratrod. I was going for the east coast style when i sarted out but i think i need to do a bit more work on it. Nerf bars, motorcycle fenders, hubcaps and some shiny paint.


I was talking to a metall guy last week about some fenders so i might get them on this winter but i wont have time to paint.

Here is my 32 Sedan. Probably not exactly what you are looking for but it is unchopped, original and built in 69 in Virginia.

 

That makes perfect sense, I just think the vertical lines of a '32 shell really clash with the zigzag of the firewall on a model 40. Now on a car like Hiller's with a full hood, it doesn't seem to make a difference, that looks really sharp!

Here's another coupe which I believe was from the north east, but don't hate me if it's from somewhere else. Came out of a box of customer photos, but it's an all steel car.

Some of that car is a twin to my T modified, do you know who built it? mine came from the Pittsburgh area...only with an Iron Duke motor.

This looks to be a picture of Fred Steele's purple Deuce before it was painted which would be about 1953 or so.That may even be Fred lighting the cigarette. The other car you posted(the Deuce with what looks like a blown Stude engine)looks vaguely familiar but I'm not placing it.

Yes the Fred Steele deuce, an Eastern classic, rare photo in primer and prior to the tuck and roll job. Dig the chrome firewall.

The coupe has a 303 Olds with a McCullough blower. Later it got a 394 with 2 McCulloughs.

Here's our beater truck project.Was shooting for a "cool cars square roll bars" look.
Going to put this tag on the dash and see if anyone will believe its a surviver...ha.

Walter Brooks' 33 sedan originally built by Walter Jepson in the 50's.Harvey Richardson's Deuce with a blown 468 inch Olds is parked next to him.Harvey was part of the Sidebotham,Richardson,and Creehan AA/GD team.

 

Great pictures as always,I like the pic of Hoops 40 4 door,that car was also in rod and custom and on the cover back in 73 along with my dads 35 sedan,and That yellow 32 2 door sedan,I believ is Chuck Hansens from the mass streetrods now,atleast I think thats his last name,anyways great pictures I love seeing them.

In true east coast style this car was originally not chopped (visualize it). It recieved an expert haircut about 5 years ago at East Coast Customs in Leominster Ma.

 

Yes I mean that one,the car looked neat back then,who knows what it will look like when dad puts it back together again.Thanks for posting the picture,dad will like it.

 

Keepin it rollin with some high end East Coast nerfs and trademark bar work.
