There's no such thing as too many Cords. Paul Whiteman, a/k/a the King of Jazz on left. Car is outfitted with accessory headlights known as Woodlites. Car on right has NJ plate.

Cord on the left is beautiful. I am still suprised that those checker tires have not been reproduced.

Kookee.....If you like checkered tires you might like this Cunningham with a very custom cape-topped body. I believe it was originally sold new in the Bay Area of CA no doubt to an extrovert.....

Great picture of Paul Whiteman's L29 Cord. Paul also owned a 1936 Cord Cabriolet

This Cord L29 Boattail Speedster was built for the 1931 New York Auto Show and was supposedly once owned by actress Jean Harlow. The car was lost in France over six decades ago.

    The37Kid had this posted over on the thread What's the Holy Grail of rare parts? He says;

This was in a Robert Roof catalog from around 1935, how many L-29 Cord flathead owners bought one of these? I wonder if it is a one piece head or two fours?

Is this the one that was "recreated" a few years ago?

Thanks for bring that photo over, I've often wondered if it was two heads. I'd also like to know how close things are with a Ford head, wonder if the they are close enough to match a CORD block. :)

  19. Thanks for posting this pic.

I bought that series some years ago and thought it was a hoot. I always wondered what the base was for this car.

Do you have any other information about it?

Funny, I bought the Burn Em'Up Barnes series about a year ago, and just watched it last week.
Great period piece, and pretty good, for what it is.

An interesting early truck in Rhode Island. The radiator script is on it which might help someone identify it for us??

Interesting post car for the FWD truck which was made in Wisconsin. This card was sent in Jan. 1918. These trucks used a 389 CI T-Head Wisconsin engines which were very similar to what was used in earlier Stutz Bearcats.

Can anyone identify this women with the big hat who is helping to advertise Morgan and Wright tires.

The car appears to be a Model 16 Buick circa 1910......

This is not how a mother-in-law seat is supposed to be used. Coppers take notice!

We've had all sorts of critters in car photos so far... dogs, cats, goats, chimps, etc. But I don't recall any photos of ladies adorned with critters so here goes.

Some contented dogs, and happy owner (?). Wish I knew more about what all's in the background, especially what's under the tarp.
