Another photo from Alaska of the Thomas Flyer, the only car to make the trip by boat there in 1908 as part of the original route of the NY to Paris race.

It turned around and was shipped back to the states before being shipped to Japan to continue on the 22,000 mile ordeal which it won. Read about it at the link below.

Series 60 Buicks for 1935 model year generally have spoked wheels, this example has wheels with full-width trim.

With some good fortune they appear to not have been hurt in this incedent. Mr. and Mrs. Marshall of North Rose N.Y. and a child pose after crashing their plane into a tree while racing with an automobile. RMSC Photo

Here is the NY to Paris Thomas, on West Main Street in Rochester, NY. Does anyone have any more photos of this car under power? It hit 100F here today, so just looking at this is like eating a huge ice cream cone. RMSC photo.

So is that why in New England states the old bridge is left standing when a new bridge is built to replace it? All the old bridges were too well constructed?

This looks like a riding rink that was used during WWI by the University of Wisconsin Cadet Corps. They repaired cars to use during the war as the factories were producing war machines and there were not enough cars to go around.

Ezra Meeker was an Oregon pioneer who came west in a covered wagon before Oregon was a state. His last trip before he died was in an airplane.

[IMG]I've seen a few photos with special tire covers advertizing products and places, but I've never seen one that has survived.

'14 T with an Ontario Manufacturer's license plate. A couple of those ladies look a bit sheepish, don't they?

Before there were car carriers, boxcars delivered new but partly assembled T's. I'm confident one of the T guys will tell us exactly what year this must be.
