Heres a pic of the blue merc that is shown a few pages back. The guy who owned it is a HAMBER by the name of Roger Lund (buflochp) This is it after a late 80s re do.
This thread seems to be slowing down. Come on guys, there are a lot of kustoms out there, start posting pics. Here are a few of the shoebox that was my daily transportation in the late 1960's up here in the great white Buffalo N.Y. area. I have no idea were this car is today.
Anthony, Is this Ford (Cathy Ann} done years ago by a guy in Chester Penn. Saw the car about 20 years ago and a guy in North Philly owns it and I think he still does He owns a martial arts studio and had the cars body and paint done at a VOTECH school not a real good job.
This scan was taken from a book from about 92. There was a good article in the KKOA trendsetter a few years back when the car was restored. Idid have it found but misplaced it. Kathy Ann
I don`t know if this is the same car or not. Can`t remember where I took a pic of it. Springfield 84, What a great show.
My photos aren't as organized as yours Rik, but I do have a front view somwhere. It may take a while to find it. Stanlowe69, I suppose it's possible that the two cars are the same because of the rarity of being a four door. However, there's no way the same owner would have done both stylings if it were the same car. The red version is perfectly clean and traditional while the burgandy one is very faddish.
We took these pictures of Jeff Meyer's '57 Caddy this weekend. The Caddy has more Car cleavage that I've ever seen. Makes ya want to light up a cigarette after looking at her. Happy Trails, Mick
DANG, where the hot babes..........oh, i guess that would be your daughter, so prolly don't want to post those. hehehe. thanks for the pics mickey.
I hope you guys like the front. It had a squarish custom grille housing with a 54 Chevy grille bar with no parking lights. I think the guys name was Bob and he was really nice to me when I was a kid. Oh, and Tom, That pic was taken in Springfield Ohio in 85.
How do you remember that. I think we are a bout the same age, along with Rickster. I do remember there were 2 49-51 ford convertibles forsale. You can see the windshield above the center of the roof of the Hudson. Do you remember the chopped Merc(maybe a 4-dr) whith the carson top off.The guy drove it around the grounds while sitting on a telephone book so his head was above the windshield frame. It might of been around the time of the Lowest Kemp on blocks contest. It would of been the first one in Springfield.
OOMACK--You are right. Springfield Ohio was in 85. But I think this was taken at the 83 Springfield show in Ohio. 84 was in Des Moines. The scan was taken from the 83 of November issue of Street Rodder. You can just make out the front of the Hudson. Thanks for the great pic`s. KEEP IT UP.
That sounds about right; I was at Des Moines too, but am not sure which one came first. I rmemeber Des Moines was a much better venue and had many more cars.
Could be either one actually. 83 or 85. The car was also featured in Classic and Custom. He was at the Holiday Inn in Springfield if I remember correctly.
I guess it realy dosen`t matter the year it was taken, What really matters is where is it now, and what does it look like. To keep it roll`in, here are some pic`s from a show in Michigan(I think).
Here is a photo I recently bought showing a 1939 Ford with a chopped top, 1949 Plymouth ripple bumpers, removed running boards, fender skirts, flipper wheel discs and white wall tires in the front. The back of the photo is stamped April 1st, 1951. I really like the attitude of this coupe, and would have loved to find out more about it...maybe anyone recognize the car...or even the shop? It came with a photo of Frank Kurtis' 1941 Buick in tis white version...maybe that can give us a clue about where this photo could have been taken?
