Eightdeuce, here's some of what I have. I understand that this site is more about straight axles, etc and not so much about muscle cars so I apologize about that......

The silver Nova is Jim Raffensberger at 75-80. I have more pics but I'll need to scan them.

I passed Mason-Dixon twice today on the way to and from a jobsite and thought about this thread

    L.A. -Bar:
My photos of 75-80 are on Page 2 of that thread above. to answer your question about Bill, last i had heard he was still here. He lives right up the street from the track. My dad talked to him a few months ago about some pictures hanging in the tower and i saw him opening the front gate one day when i was coming from work.

What some great memory joggers! Went to my first drags in Tennessee in 1961. It was the classic, Ford against Chevy. Chevy won........made my day. Now I wouldn't care.
    Thanks for the post........Bumps.

  10. My dad ran at 75-80 and Mason Dixon from '61 to '73 and we still run at Mason Dixon again now. In '61 he won SS alot in a '61 Starliner called "Mister Twister". Later on he ran a '60 Falcon gasser and then a '64.5 Mustang in D/MP. Here are a few shots of dad with the Starliner and the other cars.

Thanks for posting the great shots and I hope you find more!!

OJ, I think that old Vette pic is actually this car called Snoopy. I't shares the same unique paint scheme but I've yet to confirm it. Snoopy races in Pro-Stick, a manual trans class ran at some local tracks.

More Mason Dixon pics, I got these from another website. I dont know who took them so I hope they dont mind me posting them. I really like the pic of the front end flipped up. It shows the purity and simplicity of a race car. However, those frame rails are just kind of 'out there' aren't they...not much support.

It's sad to see 75&80 look like that. It was the first drag strip I went to and the first one I raced at.
I talked to some friends not to long ago looks like the development deal fell through. So its going to be just an old drag strip for awhile no houses.

I'd love to see any pics of my father Kenny Rose's Gold Digger 55 Chevy that was a regular competitor at Mason-Dixon from the 1960's/early 70's. Other cars I'd like to see if possible would The Patriot Corvette of Jim Porterfield, and Bob Widmeyer's 1970 Camaro & 58 Corvette.

I mentioned I was searching for pics earlier of My Dad's (Kenny Rose) old race car. Here's 2 out of the only 3 pics of have of my Dad's car, The Gold Digger 55 Chevy out of Martinsburg, WV. He was a regular at Mason Dixon & 75-80 in the mid 60's to early 70's with this car. 426 Chrysler Hemi powered with Hilborn fuel injection. I would LOVE to have more pics of this car.

The Corvette still belongs to Frank Jenkins of Clarysville, Maryland. He still races it and its a stick car now. The car had a Clutch Turbo in it in the early years.

    Pics now......
