Art & Inspiration Naked pictures...cars & trucks

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by HOTRODPRIMER, Jul 22, 2015.

  1. Not your wife or girl friend but photo's on your cars & trucks while you were sandblasting or stripping paint.

Like my bi-line..I hate sandblasting but it's something that usually has to be done in the process of building our cars.

Incidentally,I used 3,300 lbs of sand stripping every piece of metal on this wagon. HRP

3,300 pounds of sand! I did a 65 Mustang on a rotisserie several years back, i'd be surprised if I used 300. I didn't do the inside of the car, and of course there is no frame, but that sounds like a lot of sand. I spent more time sweeping and straining the sand that actual blasting.

  6. Yeah,I used 33 - 100lb bags of sand,I did have to sand blast the floors, all the garnish moldings, dash, body, fenders, lift gate and rear tail gate, doors, hood, all the suspension piece, frame, rear axle and the rims.

I have a small beach behind my shop. :D HRP

I did the T roadster with a couple 5 gallon buckets of sand I got from the local blaster. I just would collect it and reuse it. I'll never do the job again. I took years off my life. It's worth paying for.
