Just picked this up from a good friend of mine. It's an amazing car with a long list of rare parts. He poured blood sweat and tears into the build a few years ago and has been rolling it ever since. I really want a 32-36 coupe but this will do quite nicely for now!
I'm lovin it!!! MY cabrio body came from the San Diego area, that where your at? No reason not to have tons of fun with that car. Tim
Very nice. I would consider this the best use of fender aprons on a fenderless car that I've seen. Looks like he trimmed the width out of them or something, they fit nice, like a Deuce rail reveal.
Man...the whole look is captured, right down to the Kelsey-Hayes bent spokes! Who was it that said 'For a style of car that supposedly originated in Cali, there sure aren't any there now'? Yes, there are. This is one.
agree that this seems to be the best use of fender aprons on a genderless car... something looks "right" about it... car is otherwise beautiful, as well!
Thanks again everyone. It was a labor of love for my buddy and he was hardcore about it being period correct. All the wiring is done in the original cloth type, it has a rare Harmon Collins dual point dizzy, original Thickstun PM-7 intake and Kelsey Hayes wheels. All the gauges work and the speedo is accurate! 3.54 rear lets it stretch is legs out on the highway too. Definitely digging this one!
Lucky guy, always liked this car. How come your friend sold it ?. Al. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Im stoked to have gotten it. He is building a chopped Model A coupe with 327, '39 trans and banjo rear right now. I never actually thought he would let this car go. It has been his baby from day one and he showed ot much love! Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Lucky you, dude! It's beautiful! The only thing that sucks about it is that there isn't really anything to change, haha.
My oh My. If I had that and a coupe came along I'd just have to figure out how to get both in the garage and let it go at that. That one is a keeper.
Neat car. I like it that he kept the A grill shell instead of the common 32 grill swap. Gives it a different character.
Before a lot of the speed goodies. The car still runs a bitchen set of stock exhaust manifolds that were chromed way back in the day.
Joe, that is a Mikey built roadster. You have already had one built by him and let it go. If you sell this one I will kick your ass!!!
