Well last year I was hired by a Hamb member Justin "Hollywood" Altman to create a sculpture for the Oilers C.C. and shortly after I was referred by my friend Richard Toonkel to participate in the Customs by the Sea show which was going on at the same time so I decided why not and went to down to Wildwood, NJ with my 39 Ford Convertible sedan. When I rolled into town around 2:30 am Friday morning I wasn't sure I was even in the right place and then all of a sudden I cam to a Red light and to my right was a parking lot filled with TROG Race cars and from that moment I knew I was coming back down with something next year. So I got thinking what the hell I just picked up this coupe that was sitting in a stone quarry for the past 20 something years why not use it for a TROG car :)

So the plan is chop the sucker and I mean chop it hard. leave it a highboy with a dropped axle and mechanical brakes. I have a set of 1936 Buick 15" Artillery wheels that will be wrapped in black wall out 6.70-15 Firestones up front and 8.00-15 Dunlop Gold cup's on the back that will be grooved for traction. Engine is a 1940 Ford Flattie with an Edelbrock 2x2 intake backed up with a 39 gearbox. The plans for the interior are simple I have a nice original 17" 4 spoke sprint car wheel and a pair of 1949 Willys Wagon bucket seats that will be wrapped in some sort of canvas. I will post more as I go Thanks

My daughter thinks these Edelbrock Heads are what this car needs. So I set them on the engine and I think she is on to something :)
Now I can't wait to get it all together and fired up.

That's an "A" with "A"ttitude for sure! Looks like a street fighter ( instead of one of them painted ladies). NICE

The high stance really seems to work with that deep chop. How much are you going to lower it?

So I picked up another Flattie and this one has a tag on the Bell saying Ford Exchange Engine so I took the intake and head off last night to inspect it and well I think this is the one I am using for this car. It is super clean and is .040 over already :) So I will be putting the Edelbrock heads and intake on this soon.

  28. Nice car.

I wonder if someone could answer me a dumb old man question, what in the hell is TROG. I have even googled it and still don't have any idea?
