Here is a pic of my coupe now I know it's bad it don't get much more 80s but it is all Henry steel and it's mine as of 2 months ago and now Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Ditto on the top and it really isn't that much different from the one in TRJ. The stance is close, some steelies and hubacaps! Have fun and let us know how its goin...tim
Steelies, caps and whitewalls... Whose hijacked Cragar's account!!!! Thought you were going to do an Eliminator Coupe replica. hahahahaaa..... If thats your aim its going to look good.
Hey how are you going to paint Thommo's roadster if you're working on your coupe?? OK what are the plans? Keeping that engine/trans/diff or going blue oval? I thought you were keen on the 32-5 that Dean and Luke had? Have to admit that TRJ 3 window is sweet and you have really got some great material to work with.
Thommo wants to paint his own roadster I am just there to point and give guidance and he is doing a good job so far . So have time to build a coupe and as you know I would have proffered a 32 5 window but this thing came up and it ticked all the right boxes and let's face it a 34 3 window is pretty cool now for the running gear and remember I have the roadster that is good for around 4 hours so this is for long distance it will have SBC 6 speed manual and nine inch 4 bar front coil over rear now do you hate me swifty Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. Ok, given my official capacity I now declare this a build thread, so no excuses Cragar, you now must update with progress reports. This will be a killer build and a kick arse hotrod, not strictly trad but built for covering long distance this country is known for. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Given that picture (which is what you fell in love with) and what you've got, how much more information do you need? Be careful, you might not like what you find out!
Ok Thommo you asked for it so here goes the coupe was pretty good considering it is 80 years old and got played with in the eightys where to start the fire wall was covered with flat plate so it has a fire wall with lots of holes the floor was replaced with flat plate and raised 2 inches to help clear the gearbox and bolted in so I undid the bolts and removed the floor and this is what's left so now it's time to build first I made a hurst style engine plate then I have converted it to RHD because I live in Aus . With that done I boxed the rest of the rails and with any luck I will be doing the rear end this weekend . And I will keep you all up to date Ps here is some pics of the coupe when I got it Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
That's a great car. I would think a phone call or email to TRJ should get you all the info you need on the car in their mag.
But you don't count today as you would have had to many can for your b/day Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!

Hi Swifty the funny thing is what a rubber donut bolts to and that acts as a uni because I running a 6 speed. Out of a Ve commodore I have to use it the early 6 speed use a standed spline and you can put a normal yoke in but of cause I had to get the one that makes life hard didn't I Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. Ok I know I have been slack with up dates but I have been working on the coupe I have taken the rear crossmember out and made a new one I know you guys want like what I have done but it will make the car sit lower andI have also made the gear stick come out in the right spot so next is brake lines fuel lines and tail shaft stay tuned Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B.
