Simply wonderful little roadster. I don't know how it could be more traditional unless you built it on $1.25/hr. When it's finished and on the road you'll be having the most fun you can have with your clothes on. Frank
the color is bordeux rot(red).it was a vw color for 49.the code i used is very close mercedes color of the same name.

just wondering, was there ever an intended way to hold up the side hinges of the hood? I've never seen an application aside from propping it on the cowl or letting if fall all the way over...? The first post with the pictures reminded me of this question
I think the intended way was to rest them in the cowl channel.these days they sell after market prop kits or you could fab yer own,that would be traditional.
Saw car and met owner at Epping NHRA reunion,nice piece ! water flooded dist. along with weak coil wire provided an hour or so of laughs for all , Thanks to the talents of Eli from Lowerys & Me (budding 61 year old machinist) from rollingbones got it purring like a kitten (or koolkat) !
