Projects My "1927 Mercury" phantom - not a hotrod...

  1. Call it whatever you want, you built it! I like it. If it were me though, I would drop the headlight bar if thats legal over there.

Nice to see a comprehensive thread on this superb car! Great work.

I think if Ford had actually built these in '27, they wouldn't have lost so much market share to GM - give all those Flivver buyers someplace to go when they want to upgrade!

  5. Looks like a damn hot rod to me!! I too would drop the headlight bar, other than that it's bloody perfect!
So much so it's giving me food for thought..... damn you.... LOL!

  6. Thought about it - but was aiming here...

The Lancia is cool but, I would rather have your 'baby'! You need a much shorter garage, for a start, ha ha.

While this car has a lot of ideas I'm going to steal, your radiator just solved a huge problem on my 20 T and... it's what will force me to run a 26/27 shell on my touring.

So awesome. I wish we were closer, I'd be over your shop crawling all over that thing.

What he said. Ford styling jus has It.

I've got a renewed interest in running an A crossmember in my T frame thanks to that.

  13. I love it man. Well done!

Love the look with the extened hood . Very very nice. By the way saw a Royal Oilfield in the background , a English built one? Had several over the years.

It is amazing what effect the lengthening of the hood/bonnet/engine cover thingy, makes to the overall balance and proportions of this beautiful little critter.
Congratulations on a really good outcome.

I love the bodywork on this one, the rear fenders are perfect. Proportions are so much better!
    Sometimes a non-hotrod can be a revelation.
