It belongs to a member of the Choppers out of Cleveland. My guess would be that it is a steel front welded up.

It's all steel. Welded up and shmoozed. same with rear fenders. Whole body is original steel. Thanks.
The minormania link mentioned was before Darin the striper got hold of it this weekend.

You need to bring that out to the Pileup and park it next to my wife's custom '58 Minor!

Here's a HAMB drags pic of Mike "relaxing" on the pit road before his run...

After the run, I met him at his parking spot in the pits and asked what his time was...he handed me his timing slip with shaking hands and said "I don't know but it sure came fast. Here, you look." His "fastest/quikest" run ever in the Morris...

Man, it's fun seeing all of these Morris hot rods on here!
Just tried posting more pix, but no dice.
    I'm running a 3.91 gear (Mopar 8 3/4).
This weekend, the car was in some scenes of a little independent street race film and MAN, it felt good! I think nines are well within reach now! If I only had the money - might have to wait until spring...
So keep posting those Morris pix! I'll need 'em to get through until next spring...

My friend Jim, a non-HAMBer so far, had his Morris Minor at the HAMB drags last month. Built the car himself. Didn't make any full passes, as this was his first time out. His Opel front suspension got messed up, so he's going to put a straight axle under it this winter.

Holy Crap! where'd you and FalconEddie sneak in? I was with 'Mo the whole time at the striper and didn't see all these being taken. Thanks Guys! This was one great weekend. There was a guy from Cambridge with a total (almost) stocker Morris. He dropped in a 1275cc in place of the 948cc sewing machine. Here's a shot of Sinner and Saint.

Yep, this really is a Morris Minor. Tons of work in this one, and it looks really well done.

The springs are from speedway(the short roadster springs). The u-bolts came from arizona axle products. But speedway sells the perches, so I think they sell the u-bolts too.

Man thsi thread makes me homesick. First car I ever helped work on was a moggy traveller that my mums friend owned. We rebuilt it for her when I was 13 and it was promised to me when I got to 17.......of course that never happened she gave it to her idiot son who wrecked it. Someone in the UK used to offer willys front ends in fibreglass for them and that was my plan if I ever got my hands on it..... any one in the uk remember that? they used to advertise in streetmachine and customcar magazines back in the eightees. or maybee I just dreamed it.

Great cars on the thread...love it.

I need some 13" (or 14") HAMB-friendly rims with a 4 on 4 bolt bolt pattern ASAP for my wife's morris. The ones we have require tubes and I'd rather not have to deal with it, so if anyone has some, let me know

    Chevy Vega, apparently.

I've got the same problem with the porosity of the stock rims.

It's not so much the porosity, but the stock rims do not have the safety bead for tubeless tires and the tires will collapse on hard cornering without tubes.

These car have the same 4 on 4 pattern, but most of teh US wheels look too modern
