Gotta apologise, Sled. I talked to her again tonight and she confirmed what you said. She said also that she knew a guy name of Keller who had a collection of about 50 cars in D.F., lived on Las Flores, in Barranca Del Murto, wonder if you know him?? Cool shit, nonetheless. Cosmo

I remember in a late 50s issue of Car Speed and Style ,there was a nosed and decked 51 Chevt Coupe from D.F. .The guy wrote in to the readers rides section. The car had a grille that looked like shark teeth but other that and the black walls with moon disks ,it was an oprdinary mild custom of the day.

Great pictures and a great read, thanks for sharing. You're doing good work by saving these cars. Interesting to know that Mexico has so many antique American cars still out there to be discovered. I'd love to see more of the musclecar era stuff that you've found.

WOW SLED! I am impressed - I am also wondering how in the world you ended up down in Mexico City? Did you decide to retire there & then start to find all of these old cars? Or, had you been there once before and already knew that is where you wanted to go because of the old cars?
gary, this was a pure coincidence...would never tought about this kinda livin since 2 years ago,really... been travellin a lot ,and still do it... no plans to retire at all,i'm still in my 30's...so,gotta move my ass to get my personal junkyard one day.... not kiddin but life is really strange sometimes....that's the fun of it... and i do not like mexico city too,is just a great compromise that pays back as you see....
definately the LOVE of old tin keeps me here, that's for sure...and is not a bad lifestyle too if you know how to move in a latin world... mexico has lots of great places to discover too...the people is very hospitable too.... so,as said is a good compromise, but i never found a place like this for the old junk...so,will stay here for awhile
Geeze Sled - That's pretty neat that you are only in your 30's and be able to do what you are doing. Thanks again for posting all of the pictures, I really enjoyed looking at them! Have a GREAT weekend!
