    Moriarity-I agree great coverage of the show. Thanks for your efforts to document what a great event it is. I can't wait for next year as it is the highlight of my year.

    This was one of the coolest cars there. Originally raced by dad (beard and white T shirt in first photo) and now driven by his son (the other white shirt). Totally original apart from the addition of a starter motor and as raced back when. You can barely see the white El Camino tow/push car in the background but it is the one used back in the day. The trailer is also the original unit (with segments of 55 gallon drums as fenders). Everything had been parked for many years before the Meltdown Drags prompted them to pull it out of storage and refurbish it enough to run. The dragster is tiny and the big dump angle on the motor is a result of the early Ford banjo rear end. The race car itself weighs just over 900 lbs.
