In looking over the ingredients to Oxpho-Blue, it appears it is a "cold" Parkerizing, not a "cold" bluing. Some of the elements (selenium, copper, etc.) are probably there to give it the "right" color. The presence of phosphoric acid suggests to me a finish with the qualities of Parkerizing, which is rather durable.

Big deal. I build stuff like this in my sleep!

... Then I wake up and wish it was real.

  9. Didn't miss it, I haven't built one yet. I ordered some bushings for the 39 Ford brake pedal assembly from my local SoCal months ago and have not received them yet. That is pretty much the last thing I have to do.

    Steve, great work as usual.

Are you taking on 50+ year old limey apprentices? If so, I'm your man.

I think all us lesser mortals should thank you, a pro for sharing your secrets with us. It inspires us all to just push a little harder and try to achieve something better in everything we make.

I just put a big order in with Macs and that bush for the 39 pedals is not in stock with no date given by the supplier for when they will be available. Might be worth trying to find someone who has one on the shelf.

    Mart.

This is the prototype, but yes we will be offering this style X as a kit. I need to build a second set and then pull some fixtures from those so I can start production. I'm thinking in the $1500 range for the whole set up

Put me in line for one these x & rear cross members when you get around to building more.
    Great work!

  14. As I have the products ready, they will hit the website. I will announce them on the HAMB also.

You gonna do a tech on a 39 pedal bushings? Ten thousandths?

  18. I need to get John Evans in on that. Maybe I can lurk over his shoulder and take some pictures.

Second verse, same as the first... Can't wait!!

  22. You forgot to add the verse of my 32 on its way to austin deep in the heart of texas.

I have to tell you that loading that car up today with Steve and Joel really made me sad that I will not see that car in person for a very long time if ever. I have to say that your car is one of the cars on my all time list of bad ass cars ever. Can't wait to see it finished and I wish I could be there to see the look on your face when you see the craftsmanship on this car. Congrats a bitch'n 32.
