  7. Got the hood and lower dashboard done finally.
Still haven't got around to making it all one glossy color, I'm a big time procrastinator.

 Can louvers be punched into a curved surface and still maintain the round shape? Like on top of a fender with a 14" radius? The louvers would run perpendicular with the length of the car.

I don't think that a car can have too many louvers. The primered 33 had over 400.

For other than flat panels I believe special tooling would have to be made for the job you describe.

My brother and I did these on our own machine. The stretched 28-29 CCPU corner panels draw lots of comments. The frame covers were hard due to the size and the fact that they were rolled under

  26. ZMAN, how do you like the MIttler Bros punch? I have thier big bead roller and love it after relocating the reverser switch closer to the work end rather than on the motor. How do you support the hood when punching or is it a 2 or 3 man job?

    Thanks man...

Love it... It was at least a 2 man job and still is to get the hood in the press. Once it's there though I have some rollers set up that I can adjust so the actual punching is a 1 man job.
