little teaser-the coupe

    This is my 31 A coupe. This started as a pretty rough body and a stock frame. I Z'ed it 6' in the rear and it will be fully boxed. 1955 cadillac 331 with 4 speed hydro. 4' dropped axle with split bones and 40 ford drums, spindles and backing plates . NO CHOP . The rear end is a 59 galaxie 9" wheels are date stamped 11-11-40 4" front with 4.75 x16 firestone www . The rear is 4.5" reversed truck wheels with 7.50 x 16 goodrich www . mid 30s ford trans top and shifter converted to operate a cable for the hydro. Stock dash rail with orig. gauge panel , will run orig. fuel tank. Steering is F-100 box , pitman arm and linkage with a 55 caddy steering wheel. 32 commercial grille shell . Door handles and decklid handle will be 37 ford art deco decklid handles . NO CHOP. 2x2 offy intake with lake headers. Paint will be oriental blue with white firewall , white rolled and pleated interior and roof insert. Check out the thread , just a little teaser , for detail pics. of the pin striped wheels .I am shooting for 1960 period car , did I tell you , NO CHOP.

  7. Just about forgot how smooth a '39 backing plate looks. Usually see them full of artsy fartsy holes. Thats OK too but this looks so nice . Nice coupe too.

    Looks Killer Tommy!!!! A mean a Model A with nice new rolling stock and fucking Caddy? How could it not be rad??!! I can't wait to see it on the road....hurry!!!!

    Yep. I'm liking the channeled and unchopped look. Great stance and of course I love the caddy mill. Keep the updates coming!
