Features Kustoms blues? I need to see some kustoms....

  1. That's Kevin Anderson's. We got to have a nice visit. Says he plans on being in Dewey in two weeks. Will you and Dan be able to make it over this year?

I kinda thot it was...sure looked like it but couldn't see the license plate clearly...he didn't mention to me he was going to Austin...usually he'll say something and ask if I'm going to be there but not this time...must be upset with me for something...

No, no SK500 for us this year, matter of fact, the June CCR is going to be our first long distance trip this year...we've decided this is a 'stay home and do local stuff " summer. Besides, my new project is soaking up (gas) money fast...

some fantastic motors on here, its really inspired me, :),thanx guys

  4. He didn't seem upset with you and only said good things. Sounded like Austin was kinda a last minute thing for him. We talked some about the 57 among other related things and were all on the same page. :) Said he was looking forward to you guys being in Indy. Looking forward to the trip myself and seeing you and Dan again. :)

Dr Dave - your LSRU shots rock! As per usual, there are a bunch that I don't recall even seeing while I was there, so I'm especially glad to see your images of them. Great seeing you and Michele and I look forward to seeing you next week as well. Really great news that Kevin will also be there.

  6. LOL. Thanks for the kind words Dan. Certainly, my pics don't compare to yours in the slightest...not only do I lack skill and an artistic eye, but equipment as well....I'm just a hack with an iPhone. :)

Here is a cool link for Custom fans. Larry Watson describes many of his paint jobs.

I agree. A set of 6.70 wide whites on that thing and it's awesome.

I would love to know who owns the one in the last pic

  21. I'd actually like to know who owns the one in the second pic too

  22. Pretty neat truck but the tail lights kill it for me they look like he made the openings and then just found the biggest thing he could to fill it. The square lower corner of the opening does not go with the round tail light shape at all IMO. Other than that it has a pretty cool look to it.

I saw both Geno's and Jeff's projects at the SK500 and I was all over both of them. Remind me of late 50s-early 60s show customs. Love them both and can't wait to see them finished!

REALLY NICE!!! The matching lines front & back tie it together perfectly. Really reminds me of 60's customs.
JUST MY OPINION: the paint job will make or break this truck. It's wild, the paint doesn't need to be over the top. I also agree that the 90 degree edge under the tail light doesn't quiet match. However I totally dig the tail lights!
