  1. Thanks! Yeah that's a molded lake pipe cover. I put the pipes on shortly after I took that picture. I am planning on lowering it and I started trying to make some skirts. I wasn't really going for a specific era as far as style goes. I'm just kind of doing what I think looks cool. It's got a Buick 231 v6 in it. That was in there when I bought the car. It's not the fastest but it runs great!

  5. Almost done with the chop, you can see what we are going to look like when finished. I am stoked at the outcome. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1421369923.531439.jpg

  10. Thanks 23crate. Went into the chop hoping that what we envisioned in our heads is what we were gonna end up with. I think we pretty much nailed it. Can't wait till she's done

I've always wondered if those cars would look good with a cop. Now I know. VERY nice!

Yes, you nailed it. A lot of people get in a hurry and the top ends up way out of proportion with the rest of the car. Very Nice Job!!!

What a transformation! That is just plain sexy, beyond belief!

  14. Me too, I am stoked it came out like I thought it would. Hesitant since I really didn't have anything to go off of as far as seeing a couple chopped ones around.

  16. That's sweet. My cousin actually just picked one of these 2door Newports. I really dig the lines and the look of these.

  18. I'm digging the height of the chop. How much did you take out?

We took 4" outta the front and 5" outta the back and moved the rear section about 4 1/4".

  21. When you say rear section do you mean the rear pillar? Did you move it backwards towards the truck lid?

  24. Very cool !!! I always thought that's what I'd do if I chopped mine. There is already so much trunk that it would look dumb if you moved it forward like most chops.

  27. No worries mate.

Sorry to be a pain in the ass but when you get a chance could I get some pics of the rear section you moved back 4 1/4 inches from the outside and inside?

I think he means he added 4 1/4 inches to the length of the roof as opposed to bringing it all forward or just leaning the rear window forward. it appears to terminate at the original position on the body.
