  4. Started the day right at Day Day's - great little soul food joint in Pomona we discovered- had to hit it twice. Chicken & Waffkes, grits and greens were all on point!

Bringing home some hardware! The Jewel got a class award for Altered Street Sedan. Joyo's roadster also got a class award. Pretty cool to have a car here for the first time I've come to the show - Austin, TX was looking really good out here! Thanks to the fellas at the Austin Speed Shop, Tuki and Cato...

The Moonshiner T bucket. Seeing your pics. of it, and seeing it in person at the show was quite a thrill for me. I was in high school in the early 60's and got to see it running around my home town of Sonoma Ca. It was the inspiration for me to build my first T bucket. Seeing that car again was really cool.

By the time we hit Austin, we had just enough time to make last call and a couple of cocktails at C-Boy's at the end of the road. Started off in California yesterday, and slid into the bar on South Congress tonight. These Texas boys don't mess around.

I Had a blast rolling out with El Jefe in the new tow rig hauling The Jewel for its West Coast debut with our friends at the Austin Speed Shop who made a big splash at the show. Proud that me, Joyo and Casny are all coming back home with some class awards from the Grand National Roadster Show - recognition for some really killer Texas-built cars. It was a amazing, special trip and so glad to see so many old friends and family and make new ones along the way - see you folks in Austin soon!
