Kevin bought this 36 from Manuel Cisneros (San Diego)and brought it to us for some updates. Manuel had already built the car as a driver and Kevin wanted to make some upgrades.
Manuel had chopped the top a nice 3.5" and installed the body onto a custom chassiswith full air and a rear four link. Also installed by Manuel was a 350/350 combo.
We updated the car with new fabricated flush skirts and a reshaped deck lid and opening. We also improved the flow of the chop by reworking the eyebrow above the rear quarter windows. Manuel got the top profile to flow nice by chopping the carthrough the windows then sectioning the top skin above the eyebrow/driprail at a taper to remove the hump at the rear window. He then laid the rear window down. We thinned out and recontoured the eyebrow above the quarter windowto match the new top profile. We also installed new exterior trim and sent the windsheild frame out to the chrome shop. Other updates include A/C mounted under the rear package tray utilizing 56 Cad fresh air intakes as A/C ducts, power windows,Banjo wheel, and a stock 36 dash with a 34 Plymouth gauge cluster. We retofitted it with Stewart Warner gauge guts and Kevin whipped up ( Kevin owns an advertising agency) new gauge faces and cluster face renumbered to work with the new gauges. He also matched the new faces in colors to match the 36 Lincoln Zephyr clock. A new set a re-pop sombreros were also installed. The car was changed from its flat green to its new blue pearl base topped with PPG Flexednflat Clear. Dash and garnish moldings are based the same then cleared gloss. Now she is off for upholstery!

Thanks guys! I appreciate the comments, we worked hard on this one. Kevin is a real custom freak. He has a nice candy blue chopped 50 merc and an incredible Riviera named Goldtop that some of you may be familiar with. Its guys like Kevin that give us the break from the ho hum work and let us do the truly cool shit! I wish this one was my own.

The bottom lip of the trunklid is what impresses me most. Looks factory perfect but it had to be a ton of work to get it just right. Very nice work.
