I'm looking forward to seeing this somewhere this summer. Your grins were wonderful. I always enjoy seeing others have a great day.
thanks for the nice comments. It has been a long time comeing. I was not certian I would get this far. Finishing the rest should be a piece of cake. I will try to keep the posts up. walter
I just installed some fresh offy heads on my engine yesterday. I was wondering if the pipe threads on yours were a little on the tight side. On my easel rock heads, the fitting seemed to go in farther with less effort. RLFFRL
I could onlu get a few turns on the fittings on the heads. I used a pipe tap and cut them deeper. Make certian you put antisese on the threads. Walter
That's the same problem I'm having, it sucks because now they're already on the engine. I suppose a few shavings in there won't hurt anything. RLFFRL
Thats when I figured it out, I dipped tht tap in 90 weight and the shaveings stuck to that. It realy took very little to tap them deeper.
Right on, your flatty sounds good with a full exhaust. Mine is just wide open headers, been that way for years. I prefer the obnoxious hahaha!! So I guess that's what I'll do, just put something sticky on the tap and run it in. RLFFRL
https://www.youtube.com/user/Galynn159/featured A very close freind that shot the video of my engine start up was so pumped that he drove from his home in Houston to attend the Lone Star. Check Out His Work. Great Videos!! I think he is HOOKED!!!! WALTER
Looks like some very happy feller's. Those smiles are priceless....Good for you!! That looks and sounds amazing.....fantastic job!
I decided to quit grumbling about how to navigate the new HAMB. It is much improved ( I hate change ) and very user freindly. I thought I would post some pictures of the build leading up to where I am today. I started back to work on the bottom of the body. It certinly takes a lot to make the bottom of Henry Steel look decent. I will post more pictures later. Hopefuly I can remember how to do it. Walter
Congrats! Sounds fantastic! Can't wait till it's my turn now! Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Looks and sounds fantastic I've got to take the mufflers off my roadster, a flathead sounds just to cool running straight pipes. I'll be watching for your first ride!!!!!
worked on the bottom of the body again tonight. I hate metal work. It is like trying to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. Cleaning and grinding welds is just not much fun but at least I am about to the end of the nasty stuff.
