That the members on this forum were big enough men to not jump on a 14 year old kid who made the "horrible" mistake of posting a one year too new car on here, but the mods still killed the thread. We talk all the time about how kids today are not into old cars and do things like drugs instead, but here we had a nice, respectful young man come on and we eliminated his thread as if it didn't exist. He must have a really good opinion of us old fart hot rodders now. I feel bad for the kid. Don
I didn't see the thread, but agree with you Don, no need to kill a kids interest in the hobby. I went to my first car show in 1961 at the age of 10 and met some of the nicest people. I got hooked, it had a positive effect on the next 53 years. Bob
I am also concerned with this, The car did share the same bodystyle as a 65, I thought that was the way the rules were stated.
Thanks, Ryan. Sometimes we have to bend just a little for the overall good it does. This kid seems like he is really a good kid, and I can remember how enthusiastic I was at his age. Hopefully, by doing this we will show him we hot rodders aren't all hard asses who hate kids and their dreams. Don
Ryan, I get the feeling from some of your replies you don't care for me much. That's ok, my ex wife doesn't either. Don
Really? I've never had a negative thought about you man. Seriously... And sorry I've come off that way.
Ryan, thank you for that........I really appreciate it, and the feeling is mutual. Sometimes typed words don't come across the way any of us intend because we can't see the other persons face to know what they really meant. I know I can be a little pushy at times, it is the old man in me. Thanks again , that means a lot. Don
