I don't even know what they are called . But they are a "word" within a sentence that is the link. Their words shows instead of the Instead of the Http//jumbomambofoshizzlemynizzle$&/_ link
Try this....................{URL=paste url here}type whatever you want you link to say here{/URL} replace the { }'s with [ ]'s and you should get the link you are looking for.

I open two or more tabs in my browser so I can move back and forth to copy/paste go to the tab with the thread you want to link to and copy the name of the thread, go to the post you want the link in and paste the name go back to the thread tab and copy the address go back to the thread with the post highlight the name click on the hyperlink symbol paste the address in the box and enter the name is now a hyperlink How to make those cool links done!
Beware those fancy links are not going to work forever, they will work a bit longer if the true address is the hyperlink. Any change in software of the host site will likely break the connection. Look back at links of this type before any of the last changes and they are most often invalid.
On this subject, many copy and paste the ULR at the top of the page when they link a thread. This has lots of letters and stuff and most times doesn't let one know what the thread is. When I post a thread link I copy and paste the thread title, It lets one know what the link is/about. Also I have always hit the ctrl button and the letter C to copy, and ctrl button letter V to paste.
