hot rod schwinn choosing a color

i know this is alittle off topic but i got board or burnt out always building the same stuff . and some times its good do do something different so i decided to build an old schwinn bike to ride around at swap meats and car shows. my wife picked up an old schwinn bike of the local craigslist for me . i quess she got tired of me talking about building something different. i think it came out kinda like a cross between an old board track racer and a 60's drag bike . i just need some input on what collor to paint it.i was thinking black but i am open for ideas. the front springer is kinda harley like and way cooled that the standered schwinn.

What about a high contrast two-tone: black with cream.

....or a subtle, laid-back period color- but with a coarse flake- like a moss green metallic? You could stab it with some green pearl also....

Any factory Schwinn color that begins with the word "Flamboyant".

I like the black & creme idea. Or how about another subtle color like olive drab on this Harley Peashooter?

 

I know a guy that built a bike like this a while ago except he customized the frame and made some scratch built handle bars for it.

I have a 49 Schwinn I'll be painting black and cream. I have stencils for the original style 2-tone... can't remember where I got them but they are out there.

 

...anyone ever seen one of these bikes with the double-tube frame?...what brand is it?

Nice bike.
Keep it old school looking like the drab olive green or some brown / cream combo.

 

Here's my version of that bike...mine was one of the Phantom replicas from around 1995.
