I shot my coupe with PPG 2 part red oxide primer in the early 90's but after time it starts to show its age. May have to reprimer or stop washing with scotchbrites.

Hot Rod Flatz isn't a good paint. It's ridiculously hard to keep clean. I know this from experience.

I had parts of a car painted a similar color once... believe it was Rustoleum brand "Rusty Metal Primer"...

Mine came out kind of that color on accident. I have gone back and forth on if I am going to buff it or just repaint it.

Here is one. I like it b/c it is a little more red than brown (to me anyway; wife swaers I'm color blind-and thet I cen't spill)
There are some HRF haters, but the the reviews on here have improved over the past few years.
I'm about to order the Red Oxide and body work starts the day after Christmas!
BTW Dad's 47 is dark grey primer that is over 10 years old...It is real chalky, faded, etc. I think the HRF will hold up better than that. Not as good as real paint w/clear, but better than primer. To me its the best of both worlds!
