I didn't want to repost all the pics but that cap and locking lever in GreenMtnBoy's post is superb.

 

Here's the Merc that inspired me to want one,all my life.Don't know who owns it now,but loved it as a kid. Also,I loved this little Modified I saw at the LARS a few years back. A roadster version too. They're glass,but I love the look and would like to build a steel one.

William Lyons design of the XK120 was and is to me one of the most beautiful..sensual..organic shapes ever created. The 120 was the fastest production car in the world when introduced..and a shape that endured..

I am inspired every time I go to the garage..34 years together and counting..

 

I like the way that the filler caps are simple and the whole assembly can be covered

 

Too cool, my grandfather worked at the assembly plant in Brantford Ont.

 

Clear steering wheels blow my mind.
