My fiance just told me that they need a Hamb for girls. She said that way she and all the other women can talk about us and how much time we spend with our cars. I thought this was funny and figured I would share this. Does y'alls wives or girlfriends feel the same way? If this isn't hamb approved, please delete. It won't hurt my feeling.
I've been married for almost 20 years and I can tell you from experience, when men get together, we talk about a lot of things, here it happens to be our old cars. When women get together, the subject quickly leads to one place. They always talk (gripe) about us lol
Have her join up and start a social group for HAMBers women. My lady wouldn't be interested but I'm sure someone's ol' lady would want a place to bitch about them and their damned ol cars.
I belong to another forum... RiverDavesPlace.com it's a so-cal /Arizona boating forum.....they have a ladies section....It's not a bad idea. Most of the posts would probably be off topic though. But gives the girls a chance to meet each other a little easier.

Yeah I think you're right about the ladies of the HAMB not being a gossip group, I'm pretty sure they are a group of female gearheads.
I was lucky enough to have a girl that spent most of the time I spent working on the car right beside me, should never have let her go......but the Army sent me to a place she didn't want to go. Doc.
I don't think we should encourage them to meet and discuss us, they might come to some sort of sense and organize against us. Or they might start to figure out that an engine costs more than 57 dollars and a frame is not 29.95, this could spell the end of my finely woven web of price deception, I have mine convinced that my truck only cost her 600 bucks.

The Flower (my better half) found the HAMB for me many years ago when she was trying to find some info on fabricating a radiator shell & grille from scratch. She sees no need for any other board...if she wants anything she'll find it here. She almost NEVER posts anything but she does lurk a bit.
I have enough trouble trying to get her to take a ride in my car, nevermind owning her own car and then joining the hamb.....but ladies of the hamb...great idea!!!!!
Male or female doesn't matter. If you like old cars or want to know something about them jump in here. Women have had a long history in auto racing, airplanes and motorcycles. They are good with guns too so watch out. My old karate instructor was a tiny 5' tall kick ass lady. Not all women hate our car hobbie. My wife doesn't pissed when I buy a project car. She gets pissed when I wanted to sell one.
Girls who build & wrench on their own machines deserve a lot of respect. Most guys nowadays cant even drive a stick.
