Folks Of Interest Glenn Self's Stormin Six

Was thinking the other day about cars that used to race in Division 4, NHRA and was wondering if Glen Self's Stormin Six Camaro was still around?

I have heard that a guy in Oklahoma bought the car years ago and still has it and it is still in it's race car trim.

Anyone have any information on this?

I think they (Self) still has a shop in Durant, Oklahoma. He might know.

 

Yes they do still have a shop there.And a Great bunch of guys to talk to.

 

I don't know about their old Camaro, but they campaign a straight six altered now days (at least they did a year or two ago) that is a major threat everywhere they run.
He is still in Durant and still runs his shop, give him a call. He might still have the car. I know Carroll Caudle still has his 55 that terrorized the strip at about the same time.

My buddy has glen selfs old chevy II the one he raced before the camaro

 

I dont know where it is, but that car was a rocket. Sure won a hell of a lot in the mid-late seventies.

 

I believe glen has it back because when my friend got old pictures of his nova from him he said he had the camaro back and wanted to buy the nova back

 

I know this is an old thread but is that Nova in Reno?
