i need a float for my '42 Fargo's fuel sending unit. I presume it is the same as other Chrysler units of the same era. Don't want to buy a new sending unit just for the float. Any ideas? Thanks.

Well the float has gone. The shop I took th stank to to get cleaned did not remove the sending unit before they tanked it so it dissolved. Therefore... No pics.

Ask a guy at a late model garage. Many newer cars you have to change the whole unit when the pump goes. They may have a junk one with a plastic or foam float that you can make work.
