LOWCAB aka Bernie Ramirez did this way cool Rat Fink for the Vintage Torque Fest art auction. This stands about 2 feet tall and is made of metal. We had so many pieces of art at the show that the auctioneer was unable to get through all of the submitted pieces.
This contribution is being auctioned off on the Vintage Torque Fest FB page and my personal page. Just go under the comments section and place a bid - if you are not on there just send me a PM.
All proceeds from this auction go directly to our daughters Medical Trust. Last year we had to pay out $18K in medical for her....this was a healthy year. Artists like Bernie have taken the time to help out and make sure that we continue to pay down these bills.
Thanks so much for helping out Bernie - you are the coolest.

  3. Love the Caddy Cory, I'd love to see that one to completion, there's a lot of great thought going into that concept and it all looks doable.

CoolStuff knows why Bernie is a HERO!

And Damn Girl your brush work is outstanding!!!

    And another altogether killer week!!!

  11. Gary, this truck is ultra cool. It would be cool to see someone give you a call on it, someone with an old truck, a torch and some skills with vinyl and sparkly paint... and a wrench...

Fun comic panel. It reminds me of one I posted a few weeks back. Still I'm progress until I'm fully up and running again...

Every Friday art show I tell myself to sit down and start airbrushing again!
Not much here but I thought it came out cool.
Calander we did for the shop for giveaways. Not the type of art I normally do (not very good at photoshop) but didn't have time to paint it.
Wanted my motor (pic in my avatar) but it was in the car when I had the model. Just mock up a grungy block set like the good motor was and had her pose (she thought I was nuts) then photoshopped the 2 pics together.

Great show this week. Not much new from me, been busy with commissioned work but squeezed in a little time to stripe and paint this panel.

Awesome shot Rick. I love that you don't use filters and photoshop and stuff to produce such a striking image!!! :)

  29. Zombie, I actually had you in mind when I drew this van. I was thinking what a custom van would look like in the early 60's?
Since you noticed, I'll show you what I have done so far in Illustrator.
