    Hey Jdustu

I'm lovin' the sense of motion you're getting out of those static old bits of steel!
I reckon you've gotta be close to the sculptural equivalent of Tom Fritz  (and that's about as good as it gets!)

It's one thing to be as fricken' technically as good as your welding obviously is, but to translate it into an art form as you do, takes things to a whole 'nother level.

Anyway, my meagre contribution this week is a quickie sharpie and marker sketch I did for my best buddy's 50th birthday the other night (done the night before).

Yeah, I know, I shoulda' taken a picture before I put it in the frame:rolleyes:.

Actually, the day before this I hand painted the sign on his shop (in the background) which was another part of his present, and is a whole lot cooler than the sketch, and, if I get a chance tomorrow, I will get a picture taken and put it up here too.:)

Have some art going together of a customer's drag car. Once the sketch gets put into pen and ink we'll use it to look at new color combinations, paint schemes and graphics.

This one was something I did some time ago, but not sure if I've shared it. I designed the graphics for this 1925 C-cab. The owner owns an interior shop here in STL so I came up with a 'leather' look on the yellow-gold stripes. I wish I could find the other color concepts I had come up with...may have to dig those up later to share. I came up with a number of different color schemes and graphics and this was the one he finally decided on. I was super happy with how the car turned out and the owner was as well. This car has won a number of awards over the past couple years.

    Hope you enjoy...

    -Kool Kontributions!

Nine miles out at 30 minutes to midnite, and alone I drove- thru the flash of a speed camera. The incident fuels an all night drive (bar 100 mins. of roadside napping) to Chopped, the coolest car run in Oz. Thru banks of fog & constant oncoming 18 wheelers- coffee & cigarettes & 2 lane white line.. eyes wide, night fever on Australia's national artery.
500 miles there & back- (and me wimping out in a '91 Jap car- massive respect for S.A. rodders- one of whom cooked his flatty on way home).
Met the lovely lady from Mad Fabricators, Met Keith Weesner & Ryan Ford (briefly), plus I camped & partied with Wayne, Deena & Ricky- the coolest folks. What a trip. I was kinda beat, but I found this idea sketch within me on Saturday..
